Refund Policy

1. Scope and currency
All refunds are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. This policy covers pay-as-you-go credit top-ups. Enterprise arrangements follow your master services agreement.
2. Unused credit top-ups
Pay-as-you-go credit top-ups are refundable within 30 days of purchase for the unused balance, less a 5% processing fee, returned to the original payment method. Used credits — those already consumed by upstream calls — are non-refundable because the upstream has already billed us.
3. Automatic refunds
Failed requests (any 5xx returned by Bytespike, or upstream errors that cannot be retried per our SLA) are not billed. If a charge appears anyway, contact billing@bytespike.ai with the response_id and we'll refund within 5 business days.
4. Service-level credits
If Bytespike experiences a confirmed continuous outage exceeding 4 hours that prevents you from completing requests, we will issue 10× service credits in the affected billing period for the time of outage, applied to your next invoice. Service credits are non-cash and have no monetary value outside future Bytespike usage.
5. Chargeback policy
If you have a billing concern, please contact billing@bytespike.ai before disputing a charge with your card issuer — we resolve almost everything within 2 business days. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us will result in immediate suspension of your account pending resolution. We cooperate with all legitimate chargebacks but will provide evidence to the card network for chargebacks where the service was clearly delivered.
6. How to request a refund
Email billing@bytespike.ai with your account email, the invoice number, and the reason. We respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. We do not require you to call or speak to a human; the process is fully email-based.
