Refund Policy

Failed requests don't bill, so you should rarely need this. When you do, we're reasonable.

1. Scope

This policy covers credit purchases on Personal and Team plans. Enterprise refunds follow your master services agreement.

2. Automatic refunds

Failed requests (any 5xx returned by ByteSpike, or upstream errors that cannot be retried per our SLA) are not billed. If a charge appears anyway, contact billing@bytespike.ai with the response_id and we'll refund within 5 business days.

3. Discretionary refunds

If a top-up was made by mistake within the past 30 days and the credits remain unused, we'll refund the unused balance to the original payment method. One discretionary refund per account per 12 months.

4. Non-refundable

Credits already consumed by successful upstream calls are not refundable, since the upstream has already billed us. We pass through estimated_credits at submit time precisely so you can avoid surprise charges.

5. How to request

Email billing@bytespike.ai with your account email, the invoice number, and either the response_id (for automatic refunds) or a brief reason (for discretionary). We respond within 2 business days.
